OWN BRAND MANAGER

MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Full Time – 39 hours

 

THE ROLE

We have up to two vacancies for Own Brand Managers, to be based at Head Office. Reporting to the Own Brand Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the own brand categories to achieve sales, volume, share and profitability in line with the category and marketing plans

 

The key areas of the job will include:

 

·         Understanding the importance of the Wilkinson brand to the customer and the strengths of the competitor and Wilkinson opportunities.

·         Planning the own brand development programme in line with the category management plan.

·         Obtaining customer, market and competitor insight relating to the packaging, product specification, quality positioning, price architecture and identify new product and range opportunities.

·         Working closely with the Buying team to establish the optimum range architecture, product range and product packaging, and then driving the implementation of it.

·         Managing the total production process for category developments from design concept through to launch, ensuring strict adherence to the brand values and guidelines.

·         Communicating clear consumer information and guarantee the accuracy and legality of all product information.

·         Working closely with QA to establish quality testing and benchmarking of own brand specification against leading brands, competitor brands and the Wilkinson own brand standards.

·         Working with and managing all external agencies and own brand suppliers to execute the development brief, production schedule and control procedures.

·         Initiating and driving own brand launch initiatives to generate awareness and raise own brand profile both internally and externally.

·         Managing the evaluation of all major launches and reporting on the results.

 

 

THE PERSON

 

Ideally the candidate will have a marketing or brand qualification, although an individual with considerable experience in a retail/agency environment would be considered. Competent in I.T, you must also be a good team worker and possess authoritative leadership skills. Experience of the CMT process would be an advantage.

 

Customer focussed, the candidate must possess excellent communication skills along with a proven record of their project and time management skills. The individual will demonstrate creative and conceptual thinking and possess some understanding of legal, technical and environmental issues.
