INSIGHT, PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER

MARKETING DEPARTMENT

(Full Time – based in Head Office)

 

THE ROLE

 

A vacancy has arisen in the Marketing Department for an Insight, Planning and Communication Controller.  This position will provide in depth customer insight to the business to inform strategic direction and to enable the delivery of the business plan, company vision and objectives.

 

To use customer insight to develop and implement a coordinated Buying and Marketing Activity Plan that appeals to Wilkinson customers and delivers the business plan, company vision and objectives.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

  • provide and communicate customer insight across the business to drive a culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do.

 

  • provide and communicate customer insight to enable appropriate commercial and investment decision making.

 

  • track the customer impact of the Buying and Marketing Activity Plan and the commercial and investment decisions above.

 

  • develop and deliver all elements of our external communications strategy and plan in support of business plan delivery.

 

  • To develop and deliver an impactful local marketing plan for new store openings, relocations and re-brand stores.

 

  • To develop and deliver a powerful programme of internal communications that ensures team engagement and awareness of progress on company priorities.

 

  • To deliver the brand and implementation support for Wilkinson Plus on catalogue production, in-store communication and execution.

 

  • To develop and deliver programmes of corporate and consumer PR activity that drive brand awareness, brand perception and the delivery of our customer communications objectives.

 

THE PERSON

 

The successful applicant will have substantial experience in creating and implementing marketing communications programmes, and particularly working across functions at a senior level (especially Marketing and Buying.

 

You must demonstrate first class analytical, planning and problem solving skills, a strong understanding of customer behaviour and excellent communication skills.

 

You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead team behaviour.  In addition to this, the post holder will demonstrate great coaching, counseling and mentoring skills.

 

There is a requirement in this role to travel in order to carry out supplier visits and sourcing trips.
